Greetings from the ORAS CONHU by the International Women's Day
In celebrating the International Women's Day and the centenary of this great date, we extend a hug from sister to all women who work to improve the health of the inhabitants of the Andean area and include such efforts as part of a larger project to improve the living conditions of all our peoples.
women are the Ministers of Bolivia, Nila Heredia, Venezuela, Eugenia Sader, and the Deputy Ministers of Health of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Also since last year the Andean Health Organization - HipĆ³lito Unanue Convention, which works to realize the mandates emanating from the Meeting of Ministers of Health of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, is a female Executive Secretary. This situation means that, objectively, in the conduct of health processes have strong reasons for a gender approach in the design and implementation of sector policies.
The work we do, then, becomes more human and every day brings us closer to the millions of women and men struggling to get the rights that laws recognize, but they denied reality and with his daily activities, driving building more egalitarian societies.
date calls us to reflection on our country because most women who give birth are single mothers, because they almost always working women earn less than men, because the majority of illiterates are women, because of the poor , the poor are female, because women live less than men and almost always at home, where it plays in society, have many more responsibilities than men.
Today March 8, with the most loving hug, send a fraternal greeting to all women who work and fight tirelessly for their dreams and the firm conviction that it is possible to build a more humane and health without borders.
